Facebook page
Do you have a Facebook page for your blog? It is a good idea to set one up. Even though I think Twitter is better at marketing blogs, it is good to have a presence on Facebook too. You want to engage with your readers and lead others to your site.

Here are Five ideas of what to post on your Facebook page for your blog!

  1. Your Blog post links. This is pretty obvious but you want to make sure you are regularly posting links to your posts. I have gotten into the habit of doing so right after I hit publish. This will ensure that everyone who has liked your page will see it and if they like or comment it, their friends might see it too. You can also have whatever you publish to your Facebook page go to your Twitter page. You can change the settings for that on this page.
  2. Ask a good question. Ask about everyday stuff or something to do with your blog. Ask what people are doing on the weekend or what they plan to make for dinner. Ask questions people can’t help answering. The more questions you ask, the more people will engage with you.
  3. Post a funny or interesting photo. Go to Pinterest and find a funny or interesting photo to share on your page. Find something that people will want to share with their friends. People can’t help but like a photo of something that interests them. If you can get a good conversation going about the picture, even better.
  4. Other people’s blog posts. Come across a really interesting article? Post it on your Facebook page. You can do this by pasting the link in or if you see it while on Facebook, just hit the share button. It will give you the option of sharing to your friends, in a group or one of your pages. Facebook makes it easy to do so. It feels go to see a post of mine being shared on a Facebook page.
  5. Quotes. People love quotes. Quotes about life or your topic. It doesn’t matter. You should usually get a lot of likes when you post a quote. Easiest way to find quotes is by Googling your topic with quotes after it. If your blog is on a specific topic it can be fun to look for different quotes that have to do with it. If you have a photography blog, you can find quotes on Photography and taking photos. If your blog is about cooking, find quotes about food.
The greatest thing about Facebook pages is that anytime someone interacts with your page, it might show up in their timeline. This means their friends might see it and may make their way over to your page too.
A good goal is to update your page 2-3 times a day. You can use services such asBuffer for this to make it a little easier for yourself. Buffer also will tell you how many people liked or clicked on any likes you had in your post. This can tell you what types of posts are popular for your type of page.
