Preparing Your Amazon Kindle E-Book for Publishing

Everyone has become interested in selling eBooks on Amazon Kindle. The large majority of people understand that having your book published on Kindle is very important and they are very interested in the subject, but do not have a lot of information about it. Many consider that becoming a publisher is hard mainly because of the advanced technology. However, once you pass the bumpy beginning, things can turn out to be quite fun.
Write your book
To do this you can use whatever program you feel like (Microsoft Word, Open Office etc.). It is important to remember that writing your book has to include simple formatting options like italics or bold. For more complex features, such as bullet points, your system might not be compatible. Don't be afraid to add images, but be sure you own copyright on them. Keep them in jpg format and center them in the page. Wrapping your text around the chosen images is not advisable because, even if it will look great on the screen of your computer, on the kindle it will differ.
Next step
After this stage, start creating the pages that contain headline titles and acknowledgements. Also, inserting a page break can be done anywhere and this will appear in the final version of the Kindle book.
There are some technical issues that have to be remembered and solved when starting this process. Those of you that have good skills when it comes to word processing can relax, but it doesn't mean that others should freak out. They can hire experts to take care of their problems. Believe me, it will definitely save you time, energy and lots of money. I am not an expert either so I prefer to choose people that really know their way around this domain. This method costs less and it offers readers the chance to read a great written book. When everything is finished, remember to convert the file into a compatible Kindle format like PRC, MOBI or AZW.
Cover image
A cover image can really improve the look of a publication. We live in a world where first impressions do count. Most readers check books by title or image, but there are many other books available on Amazon, so don't overlook this aspect.
Royalty option
Royalties can set to 35% or 70%, but there are many aspects involved here. You need to understand that the 70% royalty applied by Amazon is a technique used in order to assure that the digital publication has a more convenient price than a book that comes in physical form. You need to find a balance between too high or too low in terms of pricing.
